March 19th Meeting

Do you know that this is Women’s His HER-story Month?  Well, it is!!  Let’s celebrate our women leaders, no matter what the role they are pursuing!!!!

 

Coincidentally, Suzanne Mullins, governing board member of the Cajon Valley School District, will join us on March 19, as our speaker.  She’s well qualified to hold this leadership role, having served as a  classroom teacher at Cajon Valley Junior High Montgomery and Hillsdale Middle Schools from September, 1974 – June 2007.  She’s been a board member since 2008.  Her next re-election bid is 2016, that magical year when we hope to elect the first woman president of the United States!!!  

 

Please plan to come to hear this local woman leader and ask those burning questions that have crossed your mind about where public education is successful and/or failing us.  Children are our future.  What happens to them on the way to their becoming an adult matters to you and the rest of us!!

 

As you know, we meet at Coco’s Restaurant, 1025 Fletcher Parkway, El Cajon, CA 92020, at  6 p.m. for those who dine and socialize and 7 p.m. for those who come for the speaker’s message and business meeting which follows.   We’ve received word that Suzanne Wilkinson, regional director of the California Democratic Party, will join us at the 6 p.m. session to dine and become acquainted with us.

Just think about it: TWO women leaders for ONE meeting!  You simply must attend!  Bring a friend or two!!
